Scarecrows on Parade in Tahoe City | Vote by Nov. 3
Scarecrows on Parade have returned to Tahoe City! Enjoy a festive fall stroll through downtown surrounded by cheerful cornstalks on the streetlights and creative scarecrows made by local students, businesses, and nonprofits. Explore, find your favorites, and vote for your top three. This beloved tradition brings our community together each autumn, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps keep the spirit alive year after year.
Zombification Station at Tap Haus | October 24
Get Zombified at the Tap Haus, starting at 3:30pm. The Tap Haus is the official transformation stop for Tahoe City’s first-ever Haunted Halloween Pub Crawl. Guests can enjoy free face painting with local artist Sarah Shepherd, a group zombie photo, live music from Local Anthology, and $8 Dark Elixir shots and Zombie Punch. No costume is needed; staff will turn visitors into the undead while they sip their favorite pint and creep, crawl, and sip their way through spooky specials and haunting vibes downtown.
Tahoe City Halloween Pub Crawl | October 24
Creep, crawl, and sip your way through Tahoe City’s first-ever Haunted Halloween Pub Crawl 4-10pm, featuring a Zombie theme for 2025! Come early to get into character with professional face painting, then capture the frightful fun with photo ops at our downtown photo booth. Venues throughout downtown Tahoe City—each within easy walking distance—will be serving up spooky specials and plenty of thrills. Participation is free, so gather your ghouls and enjoy a growling good time.
Harvest Festival in Kings Beach | October 24
North Tahoe Recreation & Parks + Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe are excited to present the Harvest Festival + Big Truck or Treat! Costumes are encouraged for this annual family and community celebration. Festive fun includes: Glow rooms, Haunted house, Carnival games, Delicious food, Costume contest, and NTPUD monster trucks! Join in on the fun Friday October 24, 5-8pm at the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe in Kings Beach.
Steely Dead at the Crystal Bay Club | October 24 + 25
Steely Dead, hailing from Denver, Colorado, is a national touring band known for blending the sounds of the Grateful Dead and Steely Dan into one unforgettable experience. Their energetic performances and soulful interpretations of classic tunes have earned them a devoted following across the country. Catch them for two nights, October 24 and 25. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.
Evo-Ween at Sierra Surf Club | October 25
Join Sierra Surf Club for an after-hours, starting at 9pm, Halloween party filled with costumes, cocktails, and music from a live DJ. Come for the fun and stay because the skeletons won’t let you leave!
Haunted Historic Walking Tour | October 25 + 26
Step into Tahoe City’s haunted past—if you dare! Stroll through the downtown core as history, lore, and ghost stories come alive at some of the town’s most legendary spots, from old morgues to sites of mysterious hauntings and tales of Tahoe’s most eccentric characters. Join us for Tahoe City’s first Haunted Historic Walking Tours led by Karen Willcuts of Mountain Town Walking Tours. October 25 is sold out, but spaces remain for Sunday, October 26 at 1pm or 4pm.
Halloween Party at Pete 'n Peters | October 30
Get ready for a frightfully fun night at Pete ’n Peters in Tahoe City! The annual Halloween Party returns with music, drinks, and plenty of spooky spirit. Party starts at 8pm, come dressed to impress and enter the costume contest at 10pm for your chance to win prizes.
Hallow Eve Dark Carnival at Alibi | October 30
Kick off Halloween weekend early at Alibi Incline! Metal Echo and Moonlight Movement return for their 6th annual Halloween-themed rock show! This year’s “Hallow’s Eve Dark Carnival” Concert & Party features Metal Echo’s high-energy mix of rock, grunge, and metal favorites, while Moonlight Movement aerialists perform mesmerizing acts above the bar. Costumes are highly encouraged—come ready to rock, dance, and compete for prizes in your spooky best. Doors open at 8:30pm, show starts at 9pm.
Tahoe City Trick-or-Treating | October 31
The TCPUD has teamed up with local Tahoe City businesses to create a free, safe, and exciting trick-or-treating experience for families on Halloween from 4-6pm. Come dressed in your spookiest or silliest costumes and enjoy a fantastic Halloween adventure in the heart of downtown Tahoe City!
Watson Cabin Haunted House | October 31
The 4th Annual Watson Cabin Haunted House returns on Halloween during the Tahoe City Trick or Treat event on Halloween from 4-6pm. This year’s haunted house promises to be truly spooktacular—make sure to stop by and check it out!
Creeper’s Ball at Crystal Bay Club | October 31
Get ready for the “Creeper’s Ball” featuring Poor Man’s Whiskey performing Dark Side of the Moonshine, followed by a free after party with Tracorum. This high-energy Halloween weekend show promises a foot-stompin’ good time with a lively mix of bluegrass, rock, and jam. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
